This years Design Event NE was another success. Many events and spectacular exhibitions. Thanks to AGB GnU, I was able to be part of this. As you may have read in previous posts I've been working on their collaborative project which initially started with the brief "Time and Place, Hither and Thither, War and Peace" and to produce an image in response to this. All work from participating creatives was compiled and layed-out in a series of broadsheet publications.
There was then a follow up to the publications in the form of each creative choosing another image from one of the publications and originating their own response. These responses were compiled into the form of two exhibitions - one held at Newcastle Arts Centre and the other at The 'We Are Open' Pop-up Gallery in Middlesbrough. I attended the buzzing Middlesbrough preview last wednesday and it was a fun-filled creatively crammed event. All attendees seemed very keen to discuss the collaborative process and many were excited for forthcoming AGB Gnu events. Keep your eyes peeled!
