I've never seen a winter like it. There's so much snow it makes me think of 'the winters we used to have' that my Nanna always told me about. It's an incredible thing to look at, all the beauty and picturesque landscapes.
But that's just from my window. As soon as I have to set foot outside, scrape the windows, warm the engine, de-mist the windows and finally pull away without skidding three feet in the wrong direction...I've had it. Snow is just too much. The strain and concentration on my eyes, the painful chill on my finger-ends from the cold, cold leather steering wheel, I just want to slip off my boots and climb back into bed with my ski-socks and microwaveable bear in-tow. But that just isn't going to happen. Work beckons and I've battled the heavy traffic, slushy roads and miserably heavy clouds.
My silver lining comes from some beautiful images I found decorating the empty shop windows as I wandered the streets of Humberside:

What a lovely idea. Bring some culture to the streets. Some street art to brighten up my day. I was highly impressed, the detail, the use of one colour and the use of back-lighting. I thought it was very striking and fitted in well with the bustling street atmosphere. I likey. ♥
Anyway, that will do for now. Will return soon!
Take Care,
Lou x
