For the sake of keeping...

When I visited Copenhagen, late last year I was overcome with excitement. The culture, the people, the scenes, the Art and Design. It's such a splendid place and I can't wait to return!! There are so many stories to tell of my visit there but that's not what this post is about.

No matter which city you visit, not matter which corner of the earth you reach, there are collectibles, keepsakes and trinkets on offer. Somehow they seem to cheapen an excursion or visit. An "I visited Blackpool and I loved it" mug. Don't get me wrong, I love a bit of cheesey keepsake memorabilia. Nothing quite depicts an all-inclusive summer sun holiday than an "Espãna" Plate. But there are only so many fridge magnets I am willing to collect and collate according to date of travel.

So this time, I made my culture-driven visit count. I didn't purchase an "I heart Copenhagen" tea-towell. No, not this time. I cleverly collected my Danish Kroner small change and handily converted them into some trendy attire. I now have my very own - original one-off piece - Danish Krone earrings. See the picture as you have to see it to believe it!

I've got a lot more info to share on the recent adventures in the Bavarian mountains but that's for another time, kids.

I'll be back soon.

Thanks for reading.

Take care,
Lou x
